15 JUDGMENT & SALVATION (cont'd)
2 General Statements (cont'd)
Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
But there is nothing covered up, that shall not be revealed: and hid, that
shall not be known. Wherefore whatsoever ye have said in the darkness shall be
heard in the light; and what ye have spoken in the ear in the inner chambers
shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. And I say unto you my friends, Be not
afraid of them which kill the body, and after that have no more that they can
do. But I will warn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath
killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. Are not
five sparrows sold for two farthings? and not one of them is forgotten in the
sight of God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not: ye
are of more value than many sparrows. And I say unto you, Every one who shall
confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels
of God: but he that denieth me in the presence of men shall be denied in the
presence of the angels of God. And every one who shall speak a word against
the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth
against the Holy Spirit it shall not be forgiven. And when they bring you
before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, be not anxious how
or what ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: for the Holy Spirit shall teach
you in that very hour what ye ought to say.

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city
or house divided against itself shall not stand: and if Satan casteth out
Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand? And if
I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore
shall they be your judges. But if I by the Spirit of God cast out devils, then
is the kingdom of God come upon you. Or how can one enter into the house of
the strong man, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and
then he will spoil his house. He that is not with me is against me; and he
that gathereth not with me scattereth. Therefore I say unto you, Every sin and
blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Spirit
shall not be forgiven. And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of
man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy
Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in that which
is to come. Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree
corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit. Ye
offspring of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. The good man out of his good
treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure
bringeth forth evil things. And I say unto you, that every idle word that men
shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement. For by
thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

If any man would be first, he shall be last of all, and minister of all.
[And he took a little child, and set him in the midst of them.]
Whosoever shall receive one of such little children in my name, receiveth me:
and whosoever receiveth me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.
[John: Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name: and we forbade him,
because he followed not us.]
Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a mighty work in my name,
and be able quickly to speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is for
us. For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink, because ye are
Christ's, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. And
whosoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe on me to stumble,
it were better for him if a great millstone were hanged about his neck, and he
were cast into the sea. And if thy hand cause thee to stumble, cut it off: it
is good for thee to enter into life maimed, rather than having thy two hands
to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire. And if thy foot cause thee to
stumble, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter into life halt, rather than
having thy two feet to be cast into hell. And if thine eye cause thee to
stumble, cast it out: it is good for thee to enter into the kingdom of God
with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell; where their
worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. For every one shall be salted
with fire. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost its saltness, wherewith
will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace one with another.
