15 JUDGMENT & SALVATION (cont'd)
God
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also
forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your
Father forgive your trespasses.
m0614-5
Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou besoughtest
me: shouldest not thou also have had mercy on thy fellow-servant, even as I
had mercy on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the
tormentors, till he should pay all that was due. So shall also my heavenly
Father do unto you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts.
m1832-5
And shall not God avenge his elect, which cry to him day and night, and he is
longsuffering over them? I say unto you, that he will avenge them speedily.
l1807-8
But I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.
j0850
And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them which kill the body, and
after that have no more that they can do. But I will warn you whom ye shall
fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea,
I say unto you, Fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings? and
not one of them is forgotten in the sight of God. But the very hairs of your
head are all numbered. Fear not: ye are of more value than many sparrows. And
I say unto you, Every one who shall confess me before men, him shall the Son
of man also confess before the angels of God: but he that denieth me in the
presence of men shall be denied in the presence of the angels of God. And
every one who shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven
him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Spirit it shall not be
forgiven.
l1204-10/m1028-33&1232/k0329
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thine inner chamber, and having shut
thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in
secret shall recompense thee.
m0606
And whensoever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any one;
that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
k1125
A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came seeking
fruit thereon, and found none. And he said unto the vinedresser, Behold, these
three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down;
why doth it also cumber the ground? And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let
it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: and if it
bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.
l1306-9
Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
l2334
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the
kingdom.
l1232
Jesus Christ
For neither doth the Father judge any man, but he hath given all judgement
unto the Son; ....
j0522
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and
then shall he render unto every man according to his deeds.
m1627
Think not that I came to send peace on the earth: I came not to send peace,
but a sword.
m1034/l1251
For judgement came I into this world, that they which see not may see; and
that they which see may become blind.
j0939
And if any man hear my sayings, and keep them not, I judge him not: for I came
not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and
receiveth not my sayings, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I spake,
the same shall judge him in the last day.
j1247-8
Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. Yea and if I judge, my judgement is
true; for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. Yea and in your
law it is written, that the witness of two men is true. I am he that beareth
witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
j0815-8
[Master, bid my brother divide the inheritance with me.]
Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?
l1213-4
For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world
should be saved through him.
j0317
[To the woman taken in adultery:] Neither do I condemn thee: go thy way; from
henceforth sin no more. j0811
