5 Revealer of Truth
Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send unto them prophets
and apostles; and some of them they shall kill and persecute; that the blood
of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be
required of this generation; from the blood of Abel unto the blood of
Zachariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary: yea, I say unto
you, it shall be required of this generation.

Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jonah: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it
unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. m1617
I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou didst hide these
things from the wise and understanding, and didst reveal them unto babes:
yea, Father; for so it was well-pleasing in thy sight. All things have been
delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, save the
Father; and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son
willeth to reveal him.
[To the disciples:] Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:
for I say unto you, that many prophets and kings desired to see the things
which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and
heard them not.

Murmur not among yourselves. No man can come to me, except the Father which
sent me draw him: and I will raise him up in the last day. It is written in
the prophets, And they shall all be taught of God. Every one that hath heard
from the Father, and hath learned, cometh unto me.

6 The Holy Spirit of God
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how
much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask
him?

But when they deliver you up, be not anxious how or what ye shall speak: for
it shall be given you in that hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye
that speak, but the Spirit of your Father that speaketh in you.

If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father, and
he shall give you another Comforter, that he may be with you forever, even
the Spirit of truth: whom the world cannot receive; for it beholdeth him
not, neither knoweth him: ye know him; for he abideth with you, and shall be

These thing have I spoken unto you, while yet abiding with you. But the
Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he
shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said

even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear
witness of me: and ye also bear witness, because ye have been with me from

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit
when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the
truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall
hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that
are to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall
declare it unto you. All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine:
therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare it unto you.
